A. Yes, we utilize our volunteer firefighters more than most other communities. Interested applicants can apply at fire station two, located at 640 Old Dixie Hwy.

Q. What are the requirement to become a volunteer?

A. You must be in excellent physical health, 18 years of age or older, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Q. What does the fire department expect of their volunteers?

A. All volunteers are required to respond to 33% of paged fire alarms and 50% of trainings.

Q. Are there any perks for the volunteers?

A. Yes, volunteers meeting a minimum training and response percentage receive a monthly stipend of $150.00.
