Welcome to the Town of Lake Parks website. This is a medium we will be utilizing on an increasing basis to keep our current and prospective residents and businesses informed and to promote the many amenities the Town has to offer. We will be continually updating the site to increase convenience and functionality. It is my hope that you find it informative and I encourage you to provide feedback regarding how we can make the site even better.
As the Town Manager in a commission-manager form of government I am responsible for the implementation of policy set forth by the Town Commission. I am also charged with running and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Town. You may learn more about this form of government as an offspring of the progressive reforms of the late 1800s by visiting the International City Managers Association (ICMA) website at http://www.ICMA.org.
On February 5, 2022 I proposed and the Town Commission accepted the following mission statement:
To improve the quality of life for all Town stakeholders through the provision of effective and efficient service delivery while maintaining a small town atmosphere in an urban environment and embracing the sense of place and community that makes the Town of Lake Park special.
This mission statement guides all the employees in their significant role as public servants. I welcome any comments or inquiries you may have and can be reached via phone at (561) 881-3304 or through email at [email protected].
The Town Commission appointed me as the Town Manager on November 7, 2001. Prior to my appointment with the Town of Lake Park I served as the Interim City Manager for the City of Dania Beach. I hold a B.A. with a political science major and a Masters of Public Administration from James Madison University and I am currently working on my doctorate in public administration at Florida Atlantic University. The focus of my research is the role municipal managers play in the policy process and the implications this role has regarding the orthodox prescription of administration and conflicts that may arise with accountability and the democratic process.
